Job Title: Business Development Executive / Project Sales 

Location: Field-Based (Covering Klang Valley, Northern, and/or East Malaysia)

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Role Summary

Our client, a leading provider of high-quality electrical solutions, is seeking a Project Sales Executive to expand their market presence. This is a field-based role focused on project sales within the construction and building materials sector, with territories covering Klang Valley and outstation regions (Northern and/or East Malaysia).

The core mission is to engage with key stakeholders—primarily developers, M&E consultants, architects, and contractors—to drive sales by getting the company's products included at the project specification stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth technical product knowledge to recommend and present tailored electrical solutions to clients.
  • Proactively identify, engage, and build relationships with developers, consultants (M&E), architects, and interior designers to secure product specifications in new projects.
  • Identify and pursue new project-based business opportunities in the assigned regions.
  • Deliver persuasive technical presentations, prepare accurate quotations, and follow up diligently to close deals.
  • Provide professional pre- and post-sales support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Track the project sales pipeline and coordinate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, technical) to meet delivery and project timelines.
  • Submit regular sales and activity reports to the Head of Sales.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of sales experience in project-based sectors (e.g., construction, electrical, or building materials).
  • Industry Background (Advantage): Experience from companies dealing with M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) products (e.g., air-conditioning, water pumps, piping) or general construction is highly advantageous.
  • Transport: Must possess your own reliable transport (car) and a valid driver's license.
  • Travel: Must be willing and able to travel extensively outstation to cover assigned territories.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients and contractors.
  • Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must be self-driven and able to work independently to meet targets.
  • Education: Minimum of a Diploma in any field.
  • Availability: Candidates who can join immediately or with a short notice period are preferred.
  • Location: Residing near the Balakong office area is a plus for an easier commute on non-travel days.

Compensation & Benefits

This role offers a total potential earning package from RM 3,000 to RM 9,000 per month (Basic + Allowances + Commission).

  • Commission: An attractive, project-based commission structure.
  • Allowances:

    • Fixed Travel Allowance: RM 700 (Klang Valley) or RM 800 (Outstation).
    • Toll Allowance: RM 50 per month.
  • Petrol: A company petrol card will be provided upon confirmation. (A claim-based policy applies during the probationary period).
  • Tools: A company phone will be- provided.
