About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading digital asset fund specializing in institutional-grade DeFi strategies. They focus on delivering consistent, risk-adjusted returns through delta-neutral and arbitrage approaches across both decentralized and centralized platforms.

They are now hiring a Business Development Manager to lead growth for their new, incubated Solana-based DeFi protocol. This protocol offers users delta-neutral and diversified trading strategies on both Perp DEXs and CEXs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Capital Raising & Partnerships

  • Lead all capital raising and fund distribution strategies, targeting institutional investors, family offices, and crypto-native funds.
  • Proactively source, evaluate, and close new investment and business opportunities within the DeFi and institutional crypto segments.
  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships with other DeFi protocols, exchanges, custodians, and infrastructure providers to enhance the fund's offerings.

2. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and manage the full lifecycle of relationships with clients, partners, and key service providers, ensuring their objectives are met with tailored investment solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal investment, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment between business development efforts and the fund's strategy.

3. Market Strategy & Representation

  • Represent the fund at key Web3/DeFi industry events and conferences, particularly in the APAC region.
  • Track and analyze DeFi trends, regulatory updates, and competitor activity to inform and refine the business development strategy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in business development, capital raising, or client relationship management from within financial services, asset management, or the crypto/DeFi industry.
  • Fundraising: A strong, demonstrable track record in fundraising or B2B sales (ideally from hedge funds, venture funds, or digital asset funds).
  • DeFi Knowledge (Mandatory): Deep, practical knowledge of DeFi protocols, delta-neutral and yield strategies, and current institutional crypto trends.
  • Communication: Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex DeFi products and strategies to non-technical stakeholders and clients.
  • Network (Preferred): An existing, active network within institutional finance, crypto funds, or family offices is a significant advantage.
  • Work Ethic: Must be able to work autonomously with a strong focus on achieving targets. Must be able to perform in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving industry.
