A pivotal role for someone with hands-on experience in software development projects. You will be the crucial link between business vision and technical execution, analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and providing the data-driven recommendations that fuel the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders to gather, elicit, and meticulously document business requirements for new software projects and features.
- Project Management Support: Assist with project management activities, including developing project plans, scheduling, coordinating tasks, and ensuring clear and consistent stakeholder communication.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate existing business workflows and processes, identifying bottlenecks and areas for optimization, and then design and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data analysis tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI) to analyze business performance, define and track KPIs, and create comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings to leadership.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to design and implement solutions that effectively address business challenges and align with strategic objectives.
- Market Research: Conduct ongoing research on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights and ensure the company maintains its competitive edge.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of dedicated experience as a Business Analyst.
- A strong background in data analysis, process improvement, and direct experience with software development projects is essential.
- Technical Proficiency: High-level skills in Excel and SQL are mandatory.
- Data Visualization: Hands-on experience with Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Startup Experience: Prior experience thriving in a fast-paced, adaptable startup culture is a major plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with projects in the financial services or FinTech industry.
- Certification: A Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is highly regarded.
