About the Opportunity

Our client is an innovative technology company developing cutting-edge robotics solutions designed to transform the logistics industry by digitizing and automating complex processes. They are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team as a key Individual Contributor.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Take complete end-to-end ownership of the mechanical design and development for new robotics systems.
• Analysis & Simulation: Design, model, and analyze complex mechanical systems, structures, and components using AutoCAD and relevant simulation tools.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Work closely with software and electrical engineering teams to ensure a seamless and robust integration of all system components.
• Prototyping & Testing: Lead the hands-on building, testing, and refinement of prototypes. This includes advanced troubleshooting, identifying design flaws, and implementing improvements.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed technical drawings, precise specifications, and comprehensive technical documentation for all designs.
• Vendor & Manufacturing Liaison: Collaborate with external vendors and support the manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure design feasibility, quality control, and successful production.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in mechanical design. Direct experience in robotics, automation, or mechatronics is highly preferred.
• CAD Proficiency: Strong, expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Hands-on Skills: Proven, hands-on experience with rapid prototyping, testing, and various manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC, 3D printing, injection molding).
• Systems Thinking: A solid understanding of how software and electrical systems integrate with and impact mechanical design.
• Soft Skills: Must be a strong problem-solver with an independent working style, a high degree of project ownership, and meticulous attention to detail.
