About the Opportunity

Our client is a global leader in the agricultural technology sector. They are seeking an experienced Senior Area Sales Manager to lead their Business Unit (BU) for Egg-related solutions within the Asia region.

This is a senior commercial role focused on developing new business, executing growth strategies, and maximizing profit and market share for the company's capital equipment and investment goods related to egg production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the company's egg-related business activities, including developing new opportunities and growth strategies to maximize volume and market share.
  • Achieve the annual sales budget (target), managing margins and regional profitability.
  • Analyze the market to determine and implement effective sales strategies and market-specific pricing policies.
  • Participate in generating "Proven Solutions," creating sales manuals, and developing product/solution templates for high-level proposals, meetings, and workshops.
  • Represent the company at key industry trade shows and support other high-impact marketing projects.
  • Manage key client relationships and serve as the primary escalation point for resolving customer complaints related to sales and service.
  • Develop and implement annual sales operating plans and prepare detailed sales performance reports for monthly or quarterly review.
  • Gather market requirements and "voice-of-customer" feedback on product ideas; actively participate in the design of new BU Egg products by collaborating with customers, engineering, and global HQ.
  • Assist in the regional roll-out of new products.
  • Lead or assist in complex project sales, including providing high-level consultation at the farm management level.
  • Determine the training needs for the BU Egg sales team and coordinate with other Asia regions to conduct regional product trainings.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Animal Production, or an equivalent technical or agricultural qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience selling investment goods (capital equipment), with proven experience as a Sales Manager holding P&L responsibilities.
  • A proven business track record with strong commercial acumen.
  • Must possess excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Demonstrable leadership and coaching skills with experience in building, retaining, and motivating a high-performance sales team.
  • Highly Preferred: Prior sales or sales engineering experience in the agriculture or agritech fields.
  • Must be able and willing to travel extensively throughout the Asia region.
