Salary: SGD 5,000 – 7,500 per month + up to 20% Performance Bonus

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team in Singapore. The successful candidate will manage core accounting functions, support financial reporting, and help strengthen internal controls.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage core accounting operations, including the general ledger (GL), by preparing and recording all asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries.
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Drive the full month-end and year-end close process in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and support the team in producing the annual budget according to schedule.
  • Manage all tax declarations (monthly, quarterly, annual) and act as the key liaison with local service providers for statutory accounting and tax matters.
  • Lead and support all internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance.
  • Develop, document, and implement business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Ensure all financial activities and reporting adhere to GAAP principles.
  • Provide technical accounting support and advice to management as required.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A professional certification (ACCA or CPA) is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in an accounting role.
  • Prior experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or within a physical trading company is desirable, but not mandatory.
  • Deep, practical knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with general ledger functions and the complete month-end/year-end close process.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Netsuite and/or Salesforce is an advantage but not required.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
