About the Opportunity

Our client, the Malaysian branch of a major multinational corporation, is undergoing team expansion and seeks an experienced HR & Administration Manager.

This is a critical, stand-alone role (reporting directly to the General Manager) responsible for managing the entire spectrum of human resources and daily office administration for the Malaysian entity. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on generalist, comfortable managing everything from payroll and recruitment to office administration and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations:

  • Oversee all core HR operations for the Malaysian branch, including personnel management, payroll processing, and full-cycle recruitment.
  • Act as the local HR partner for headquarters, assisting in the implementation of HQ-driven projects (e.G., campus recruitment).
  • Ensure all HR practices are in strict compliance with Malaysian labor and HR laws and regulations.
  • Manage employee relations and organize internal employee activities.

Administration & Office Management:

  • Handle all daily administrative affairs for the branch.
  • Manage the procurement of fixed assets and office supplies.
  • Oversee the application for and renewal of all necessary business-related licenses and certifications.
  • Organize and facilitate various company meetings and events.
  • Complete other operational and administrative tasks as assigned by leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Language: Full professional proficiency (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in Chinese, English, AND Malay is mandatory for this role to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant, hands-on experience in a full-spectrum HR and Administration role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher from a full-time accredited university (preferably in Human Resources, Administration, or a related field).
  • Legal Knowledge: Must be familiar with national labor and HR laws and regulations.
  • Skills:

    • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • A proactive, service-oriented, and responsible work ethic.
    • Demonstrates the ability to work independently, manage pressure, and meet goals.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Prior HR experience in Chinese-owned companies is highly advantageous, particularly with a background in recruitment and personnel management.
  • Local candidates who are willing to develop a long-term career with the company are preferred.
