About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Finance to join their senior leadership team. This executive will be a key collaborator with Top Management, responsible for establishing and maintaining robust processes and controls to ensure the absolute integrity of the company's financial books.

This leader will oversee all financial control activities, provide critical and accurate financial information to guide policy-making and financial strategy, and safeguard company assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Integrity & Control:
  • Partner with Top Management to design and implement more effective financial processes and internal controls.
  • Oversee all financial control activities, including the comprehensive review and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial data and disclosures.
  • Create, monitor, and enforce company policies, particularly spending controls, to safeguard assets and reduce the risk of fraud.
• Strategic & Financial Guidance:
  • Provide Top Management with accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial information to support effective policy-making and long-term financial strategy.
  • Identify and champion efficiencies, cost-reduction opportunities, and process improvements across the entire business.
• Reporting & Analysis:
  • Summarize and analyze budget trends, identifying and reporting on all deficiencies and variances to leadership.
  • Lead and support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Compliance & Audit:
  • Ensure the company is fully compliant with all necessary tax, permit, licensing, and due diligence requirements.
  • Manage all tax preparation duties, liaising with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., external auditors, tax agents).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, providing all necessary documentation and support.

Job Competencies / Requirements

• Qualification:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • A professional license and membership (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) is highly preferred and will be a significant advantage.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of 15 years of direct, progressive experience in high-level accounting, auditing, and finance roles.
• Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong leadership, management skills, and proven business acumen.
  • Deep, technical financial expertise with a strong understanding of controls, reporting, and strategy.
• Behavioral Traits:
  • A high degree of efficiency and excellent time management skills.
  • The proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from the executive team to operational staff.
