Brand Marketing Manager
Job Description:
Job Title: Brand Manager (Luxury Japanese Fine Dining)
Location: Kuala Lumpur (On-Site)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Opportunity
Our client is one of Malaysia’s most ambitious and rapidly growing F&B groups, managing a diverse portfolio of distinctive restaurant brands. They are redefining the dining experience in Southeast Asia through strategic brand building and operational excellence.
They are now seeking a dedicated Brand Manager to become the "custodian" for their most refined and prestigious brand—a luxury Japanese fine dining and omakase concept. This is a pivotal role that sits at theintersection of high-level strategy, creative storytelling, and the sensory world of luxury dining. You will be responsible for elevating the brand's narrative and ensuring it remains a leader in Malaysia's high-end dining scene.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Ownership: Take full ownership of the brand's identity, positioning, and the complete guest experience across all touchpoints—from menu design to PR features.
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute the annual marketing and brand plans to strengthen brand visibility, build guest loyalty, and drive revenue performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with key internal stakeholders, including the Chefs, the Operations team, and internal digital marketing partners, to bring campaigns to life.
- Partnerships & PR: Create a strong brand presence by developing strategic partnerships with high-end influencers, media, and other luxury lifestyle brands.
- Performance Analysis: Track and analyze key performance metrics, interpret data (ROI analysis), and make confident, commercially-sound decisions that are perfectly aligned with the brand's luxury positioning.
Core Requirements
- Experience (Marketing): A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in brand management or marketing.
- Experience (Industry): Your background must be in F&B, hospitality, or the lifestyle/luxury brands sector.
- Experience (Cuisine): A minimum of 2+ years of professional work experience directly related to Japanese cuisine is required (e.g., working in or marketing a high-end Japanese restaurant/brand).
- Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of Malaysia’s fine dining scene and high-end consumer behavior.
- Skills:
- Language: Full professional fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (BM) is required. Fluency in Mandarin is a significant plus.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders (chefs, operations, media, leadership).
- Work Ethic: Must be a self-starter who can work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.
- Strategy: A strategic mindset with a strong grasp of campaign management, reporting, and ROI analysis.
- Analysis: The ability to merge quantitative data with qualitative brand storytelling.
- Other: Must be comfortable working in an on-site setting and representing a premium restaurant that serves alcoholic beverages.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Existing strong relationships with PR agencies, local media, and luxury lifestyle influencers.
- Hands-on familiarity with digital marketing analytics, CRM tools, and high-end reservation platforms (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable).
Why Join This Opportunity?
In this role, marketing is not a support function; it is a primary driver of growth. You will work directly with visionary leadership to build a new generation of hospitality brands and own the story of one of Malaysia's most elegant dining experiences.
Interview Process
- Step 1: Initial Screening (via WhatsApp).
- Step 2: A face-to-face interview with the Hiring Manager.
- Step 3: A final face-to-face interview with the Managing Director (MD).
How to Apply
Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume, detailing their experience in both brand management and the Japanese culinary sector.
