Salary: RM 9,000.00 – RM 15,000.00 per month
About the Opportunity
Our client is Malaysia's leading PropTech (Property Technology) enterprise platform, a dominant FinTech-enabled company that simplifies property transactions for developers, agents, and buyers. They are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to guide a development team in building and enhancing their custom, large-scale solutions.
This is a critical leadership role combining deep technical expertise with team management. You will be responsible for the architecture and technical design, managing the full project lifecycle, and mentoring a team of developers to deliver high-quality software that bridges the gap between complex business requirements and technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Architecture:
- Take full responsibility for the architecture and technical design of new features and solutions.
- Review all implementation plans to ensure they adhere to best practices for performance, scalability, and governance.
- Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and lead/develop your team members, fostering their career growth.
- Project & Risk Management:
- Define and manage resource plans in collaboration with Technical and Product Managers.
- Plan and drive the project's technical execution to achieve the committed scope and timeline.
- Identify, communicate, and manage technology risks, developing clear mitigation plans for all stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on technical execution progress, issues, and risks in a timely manner.
- Stakeholder & Team Collaboration:
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (design, implementation, testing, and support) for new features, integrations, and production defect fixes.
- Interact with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and product managers to ensure a clear understanding of business requirements.
- Be accountable for ensuring there are no gaps between business requirements and technical implementation.
- Assist in estimating efforts and timescales for tasks delegated to the team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical software development.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Technical Lead.
- Technical Stack:
- Proficiency in React.
- Strong programming skills in Golang and/or JavaScript.
- Well-versed in AWS cloud services.
- Experience with RDBMS (specifically PostgreSQL is a strong plus).
- Familiarity with CI/CD deployment processes.
- Domain Knowledge (Bonus): Experience in the Property Industry, CRM, or Accounting domains is a significant advantage.
- Skills:
- Proven ability to lead a technical team, assign tasks, and manage delivery schedules.
- Understanding of design documentation standards (e.g., UML).
- Excellent communication (written and verbal English), analytical, troubleshooting, and consultative skills.
- Ability to cope with tight deadlines and a strong commitment to delivery.
