About the Opportunity

Our client is a global leader in the agricultural technology and equipment sector. They are launching a new, innovative "on-farm feed mill" concept and are seeking an experienced Project Sales Manager to lead this new business activity and its rollout across the Asia & Pacific region.

This is a high-impact, "player-coach" role. You will be supported by a growing, specialized team and will be responsible for both driving high-level, complex sales yourself and for developing the skills and capacity of the regional sales specialists. This position requires deep sales capabilities and a strong understanding of advanced, turn-key processing lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Pipeline & Strategy:

    • Take full ownership of driving the overall sales pipeline for the feed milling business unit within the Asia & Pacific (APAC) region.
    • Be hands-on in participating in high-level client meetings and negotiations for key projects.
  • Team Development & Coaching:

    • Actively manage and support the associated sales specialists located across the APAC region.
    • Develop the feed mill sales organization's capacity and skills by providing deep feed mill "know-how" and argumentation support.
    • Take a lead role in the education and training of all first-line sales staff on this new product line.
  • Product & Market Management:

    • Participate directly in product management activities, acting as a crucial bridge between market requirements and ongoing product/concept development.
  • Marketing & Partner Relations:

    • Collaborate with Marketing to organize and perform sales promotions, such as exhibitions, field days, and other events.
    • Participate in sub-supplier and partner events to build the ecosystem.
    • Ensure active coordination and collaboration with the company's other sales organizations and management teams.

Requirements

  • Experience: Must have a proven track record of successful project sales experience (managing long sales cycles, high-value capital equipment).
  • Industry (Highly Preferred): Experience from the feed milling industry is highly beneficial. Experience in related agri-tech, agribusiness, or heavy engineering equipment sectors will also be strongly considered.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent advanced technical qualification is required.
  • Travel: Must be able and willing to travel extensively throughout the Asia & Pacific region.
  • Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  • Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, coupled with excellent presentation abilities.
    • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, international team.
    • A self-starting approach, with the ability to work independently and manage a large territory.
