About the Opportunity

Our client is a prominent name in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry. They are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager, Facilities Management to oversee the day-to-day operations of their diverse portfolio of outlets.

This is a high-level leadership role that goes beyond simple maintenance; it involves strategic planning, team leadership, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of high-volume dining environments. You will supervise a team (Managers, Assistant Managers, Executives) and collaborate with senior leadership to create a productive, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for both staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations, Maintenance & Equipment

  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all F&B facilities, covering Front-of-House (dining/bar areas) and Back-of-House (kitchens/storage).
  • Develop and enforce rigorous preventive maintenance programs for critical systems, specifically kitchen equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure all equipment minimizes downtime; track inventory, oversee furniture/furnishings, and recommend new equipment purchases to enhance service efficiency.
  • Resolve facility-related issues that impact the guest experience, such as temperature control, seating comfort, and overall cleanliness.

2. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations, local health codes, OSHA, and environmental guidelines.
  • Lead safety training programs and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans (fire drills, disaster recovery, first-aid).
  • Conduct regular inspections of bar and dining areas to ensure they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and employee safety.
  • Develop protocols for accidents, fires, or floods, ensuring the facility is equipped with necessary safety gear (fire extinguishers, emergency signage).

3. Vendor & Budget Management

  • Manage relationships and negotiate service contracts with external contractors and suppliers for cleaning, repair, and specialized equipment servicing.
  • Enforce quality control and adherence to agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with all vendors.
  • Develop and manage the facilities budget, including utilities and capital improvement projects.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization without compromising quality.

4. Design, Projects & Sustainability

  • Collaborate with senior management on facility design and space planning to optimize functionality and aesthetics.
  • Oversee renovation and upgrade projects, ensuring they are delivered on budget and on time.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental footprint (waste management, energy conservation, recycling) and explore opportunities for green certifications.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in facilities management.
    • At least 3 years in a leadership or senior management role, supervising teams.
    • Crucial: Proven track record of managing facilities in high-volume, fast-paced food service environments (e.g., restaurants, catering, or multi-location F&B operations).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of F&B-specific systems, including commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration, commercial plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Certifications: Certifications in energy management or sustainability (e.g., LEED) are highly preferred.
  • Project Management: Experience overseeing major renovations, facility upgrades, and managing budgets.
